Liability waiver

The Things we lend out are for the use of Share Bristol members only. Out of respect for other members who may be borrowing after you, please take care of the things you borrow and report any damage to Share Bristol immediately. Please don’t wait until you bring it back, as this gives us more time to try to arrange a replacement loan for the next member who has reserved the Thing.

To keep you safe, if any Thing becomes unsafe or in a state of disrepair, immediately stop using it. Though members are responsible for damage that they have caused, we promise not to be angry. If you would like to return borrowed things in better condition than when you borrowed them, that would be highly appreciated!

Your Statements (Read these carefully every time you borrow)

I am capable and experienced in using the Things I am borrowing, and I will use the Things borrow in a safe and proper manner. I am aware that Share Bristol, its partners, Trustees and volunteers claim no expertise and make no representation concerning the fitness of any Thing for any particular use.
I, do hereby for myself, on behalf of my heirs, successors, and assigns, in consideration of being permitted to borrow Things, waive any and all claims against Share Bristol, its Trustees and volunteers for any injury or injuries of any nature that I may suffer or incur in the use of the Thing that I am borrowing from Share Bristol except those caused by a defect known to Share Bristol and not made known to me.
I agree to release and indemnify and hold harmless Share Bristol, its Trustees and volunteers from any and all liability, loss, claims, and demands, actions or causes of action for the death or injury to any peoples and for any property damage suffered or incurred by any person, which arises or may arise or be occasioned in any way from the use or possession of Things I am borrowing from Share Bristol.
I have read and fully understand and agree to the Members Agreement and I understand that failure to comply with any of these rules may result in revocation of my borrowing privileges and/or legal action against me.

Summary: I’m responsible for how I use what I borrow, and I won’t blame the Share Bristol team for what I do with the Things.
